Layering skirts over dresses is sooo 2015 you say? Okay I'll admit, the runways are way ahead of me (and most of us) when it comes to trends. I will argue however that as somewhat of a maximalist, layering is always in and is a great way to ward off the southern winter chill. (Brrrr 50 degrees!) And I will also argue that the skirt layering trend did not last long enough for the regular Janes like you and me to really dive in and experiment with it. If you are tired of pairing that leather mini with a sweater and boots this winter, here are two new layering ideas to extend that mini skirt's usefulness. Both involve dresses but if you want to double up on skirts, be my guest! Layer away!
